Florida Gators vs Ohio State Buckeyes 2007 What to Watch:

In 2006, Buckeye Nation, including yourself, thought our beloved team was unbeatable. We had a quarterback who would go on to win the Heisman, a standout back in Antonio Pittman, a terrific receiver in Ted Ginn Jr., and we started the season at the top of most football polls, a position that would hold true all season long. We were positive that the polls would be close.

Playing our third-ranked squad of the season was our last task. We were confident that the Florida Gators would be easy compared to TSUN after a decisive victory over Texas earlier and a thrilling matchup with That School Up North in the Horseshoe on a chilly November night. The news that we wouldn't have to prove ourselves at TSUN's expense for the second time that season undoubtedly made a lot of Buckeye Nation fans happy.

That cold January evening in Glendale, Arizona, would have been a catastrophe if we had known what our arrogance would bring.

Ohio State has dominated The Valley of the Sun since that upset victory over the Miami Hurricanes in double overtime, destroying Notre Dame in 2006 and Kansas State in 2004. After winning the Big Ten Championship handily and emerging victorious from the regular season, the 2006 Buckeyes had one last chance to establish their dominance in front of a largely home audience by defeating the Gators.
