#1 Alabama Crimson Tide vs Vanderbilt Commodores What to Watch:

On Saturday afternoon, the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide (4-0) will travel for the second time this season to play the Vanderbilt Commodores (2-2). Alabama recently defeated then-No. 2 Georgia in a thrilling 41-34 victory in the most important game of the college football season. In their last 23 meetings with Vanderbilt, the Crimson Tide have prevailed three times by a margin of at least 34 points. Despite pushing then-No. 7 Missouri to double OT in their most recent game, Vanderbilt is currently on a two-game losing streak.

FirstBank Stadium will kick off on Saturday at 4:15 p.m. ET. According to the most recent Vanderbilt vs. Alabama odds, Alabama is favored by 22.5 points.

Although Vanderbilt has lost two straight games, they just had a strong performance against Missouri, which was ranked seventh at the time. Despite being an 18-point underdog, the Commodores managed to force Missouri into extra OT. Diego Pavia, the senior quarterback, ran for a team-high 90 yards and added 178 throwing yards and two touchdowns.

This season, Pavia has amassed 721 throwing yards, six touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. He leads Vanderbilt in rushing yards (279), making him a very hard quarterback for defenses to shut down. In four of their last five games, the Commodores have covered the spread.

Before last week's exciting victory over Georgia, Alabama had won three straight landslides to start the season. With fewer than three minutes left, the Crimson Tide scored the game-winning touchdown after letting a 28-point lead slip away. The new Heisman favorite is junior quarterback Jalen Milroe, who completed 27 of 33 throws for 374 yards and two touchdowns.

At an average of 7.3 yards per rush, Milroe led Alabama with 16 carries for 117 yards and two touchdowns. Ryan Williams, a rookie wide receiver, caught six passes for 177 yards and the game-winning touchdown, continuing his stellar start to the season.

In four of their last five games against Vanderbilt, the Crimson Tide have covered the spread, and they have done it in 11 of their previous 15 games.
