Auburn Tigers vs #13 Alabama Crimson Tide What to Watch:

In the 2024 Iron Bowl, the No. 13 Alabama Crimson Tide (8-3, 4-3) will play the Auburn Tigers (5-6, 2-5) in one of college football's most illustrious rivalries. The Tide lost 24-3 to Oklahoma in their most recent game, so Alabama is hoping to win this one to maintain their limited hopes of making the College Football Playoffs. Last Saturday, Auburn defeated Texas A&M 43-41 in quadruple overtime in an attempt to earn a bowl berth. This season, both clubs are 6-5 against the spread. The Tide lead the all-time rivalry 50-37-1 and have won four consecutive Iron Bowl contests. Rivaldo Fairweather, a tight end for Auburn, has been cleared to play after being taken off the availability report.

The game will kick off at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, at 3:30 p.m. ET. The most recent Auburn vs. Alabama odds have the Tide ahead by 10.5 points.

With a little assistance and a good performance versus Auburn, the Tide still have a chance to qualify for the College Football Playoffs. Despite ranked No. 13 in the most recent CFP rankings, Alabama will not have the opportunity to raise its ranking by winning the SEC Championship Game. The Tide had covered the spread in three consecutive games before losing to Oklahoma last week.

Jalen Milroe, the quarterback, can take over a game entirely. One of the SEC's most dynamic dual-threat quarterbacks, the 6-foot-2 junior spent much of the season as a Heisman Trophy contender. Milroe has 2,396 throwing yards, 15 touchdowns, and nine interceptions going into Saturday. In addition, he has ran for 17 touchdowns and 615 yards.

There will be a lot of motivation because Auburn needs to win to go into a bowl game. The Tigers' victory over Texas A&M last week was their best showing of the season. In its last four games, Auburn has a 3-1 record against the spread.

Auburn may be able to shorten this game and keep it close because it boasts one of the best rushing offenses in the conference. In the Tigers' victory over Texas A&M, running back Jarquez Hunter led the charge with 130 yards and three touchdowns. Hunter has 174 carries, 1,145 running yards, and eight touchdowns this season.
