Buffalo Bulls vs Liberty Flames What to Watch:

The 2025 Bahamas Bowl, which pits the Buffalo Bulls against the Liberty Flames, will be the season's last game outside of the College Football Playoff. Liberty completed 8-3 overall and 5-3 in Conference USA, while Buffalo ended 8-4 in the regular season and 6-2 in the MAC. Last September, these programs faced off in the regular season. Liberty won 55-27 in Buffalo to start the season 13-1.

This time around, kickoff is set for Saturday at 11 a.m. ET at Thomas Robinson Stadium in Nassau. According to the most recent Buffalo vs. Liberty odds, the Bulls are currently favored by 4.5 points after starting as underdogs.

Pete Lembo finally had another chance at head coaching in Buffalo after spending the previous ten years as an associate head coach at Maryland, Rice, Memphis, and South Carolina. Before joining the Bulls, the former head coach of Ball State, Elon, and Lehigh had a 112-65 record. Since Buffalo's 3-9 finish the previous season, he has already helped the team improve by five wins.

The Bulls should have the most players available for the Bahamas Bowl because they have avoided any significant losses in the transfer portal thus far. This season, CJ Ogbonna ran for 311 yards and eight touchdowns and threw for 2,244 yards and 19 touchdowns with just five interceptions.

Buffalo will also have access to top receiver Victor Snow (51-610-6) and top rusher Al-Jay Henderson (959 running yards).

The Flames are currently facing significant losses due to opt-outs and the transfer portal. Quinton Cooley, a 1,000-yard runner, three leading offensive lineman, and starting quarterback Kaidon Salter all left for Colorado.

Ryan Burger will be the new starting quarterback for Jamey Chadwell, and since Liberty is anticipated to be looking for quarterback assistance through the portal, there will be an opportunity to try out for the position on a more permanent basis. Billy Lucas, the program's second-leading rusher, will also play for the Flames. Over the past two games, Lucas has ran for 1,260 yards and 11 touchdowns.
