Central Michigan Chippewas vs Toledo Rockets What to Watch:

At Tuesday night's MACtion in Toledo, Ohio, the Central Michigan Chippewas will play the Toledo Rockets. Central Michigan has lost four straight games, while Toledo has won two of its last three. With a minus-52 point gap, the Chippewas (3-6, 1-4 MAC) are tied with Akron for 10th place in the league. The Rockets (6-3, 3-2 MAC) have outscored their opponents by 61 points and are tied for fifth place in the MAC, only one game behind the four co-leaders. For the fifteenth consecutive season, Toledo is eligible to play in the bowl.


The Glass Bowl kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Central Michigan averages 25.4 points per game, while Toledo averages 29.4 points. The most recent Central Michigan vs. Toledo odds have the Rockets as the favorite by 14.5 points.

Leading the Rockets with 56 receptions for 628 yards (11.2 average) and four touchdowns is junior wide receiver Junior Vandeross III. He has 104 career receptions for 1,310 yards and eight touchdowns, with a long of 73, and is in his third year with the program. In a 41-26 loss to Bowling Green on October 26, he recorded an 11-catch, 106-yard performance, one of two games in which he had 100 or more receiving yards. 


Anthony Torres, a senior tight end, is an additional offensive weapon. He has caught 18 passes for 6 touchdowns and 231 yards (12.8 average). When Toledo defeated Eastern Michigan 29-28 on November 2, he caught a career-long 78-yard touchdown throw. On September 21, he caught three catches for 27 yards and two touchdowns during a 26–21 defeat against Western Kentucky. 

Marion Lukes, a senior running back, has spearheaded the Chippewas' attack. 537 yards (4.7 average) and four touchdowns have come from his 114 carrying attempts. This season, Lukes has rushed for 100 yards or more twice, notably on October 19, when he ran for 13 carries and 118 yards in a 38-34 loss against Eastern Michigan. 

In a 27–25 loss over Ohio on October 12, he also had 20 carries for 110 yards (5.5 average) and three touchdowns.

Chris Parker, a junior wide receiver, is the best pass-catcher in Central Michigan. He has three touchdowns and 308 yards (12.8 average) on 24 receptions. On September 21, he caught five catches for 79 yards (15.8 average) and two touchdowns in a 37-34 victory over Ball State. On September 7, he caught three catches for 55 yards (18.3 average) and one touchdown in a 52-16 loss against Florida International.
