Florida State Seminoles vs Duke Blue Devils What to Watch:

On Friday, the Florida State Seminoles (1-5, 1-4) head to Durham, North Carolina, to play the Duke Blue Devils (5-1, 1-1) in a primetime ACC game in an attempt to salvage their season. After finishing 13-1 in 2023, the Noles had high expectations entering into the season. After a bye week, FSU will try to recover from a crushing defeat to Clemson, which ended with a score of 29–13. Duke will try to defeat Florida State for the first time in school history and secure bowl eligibility. The Blue Devils are hoping to bounce back from their October 5 setback to Georgia Tech, which ended in a 24–14 score. They are also coming off a bye.

The game is set to start at 7 p.m. ET. According to the most recent Duke vs. Florida State odds, the Blue Devils are favored by three points.

This season, Duke is 2-1-2 against the spread. Maalik Murphy, a Texas transfer, has adapted well to his role as the starting quarterback for the Blue Devils. Fourteen touchdowns, five interceptions, and 1,431 yards have been tossed by the 6-foot-5 sophomore. New Mexico State transfer running back Star Thomas has led the rushing assault. He has run for 528 yards and three touchdowns on 113 carries in five games.

The Blue Devils are among the best defensive teams in the ACC. In terms of both total yards allowed per game (309.3) and points allowed per game (17.5), the Blue Devils are ranked second in the conference.

Due to a hand injury, veteran quarterback DJ Uiagalelei will be out for the Seminoles once more. Brock Glenn, a rookie, will start in his stead for the second straight game. Glenn completed 23 of 41 throws for 228 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in his debut start versus Clemson.

The Noles have several defensive players who will be selected in the NFL Draft. Four guys on the Florida State pass rush have 2.5 or more sacks this season, making them one of the best in the ACC. With 4.0 sacks, junior Patrick Payton is in first place.
