Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns vs Texas State Bobcats What to Watch:

In a crucial Sun Belt Conference West Division game on Tuesday night, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns will take on the Texas State Bobcats in an attempt to win their fifth straight game. Texas State lost 24-14 at Old Dominion on October 19, whereas Louisiana recently defeated Coastal Carolina 34-24. This season, the Ragin' Cajuns (6-1, 3-0 Sun Belt) have outscored their opponents 239-160 and are 4-0 away from home. The Bobcats (4-3, 2-1 Sun Belt) are 3-1 at home and are tied with two other teams for second place in the division.


The game will kick off at UFCU Stadium in San Marcos, Texas, at 7:30 p.m. ET. Louisiana won 34-30 at Lafayette, Louisiana, previous season, and now leads the series 10-0 overall. In the most recent Texas State vs. Louisiana odds, the Bobcats are currently 3.5-point favorites after starting at -4.


Jordan McCloud, a senior quarterback, leads the Bobcats. After attending South Florida for two years, Arizona for one, and James Madison for the last season, he is currently in his first season with the program. Mahdi has just finished two consecutive games in which he ran for 100 yards. He rushed 25 times for 139 yards (5.6 average) in the defeat to Old Dominion. In the victory versus Arkansas State, he rushed 17 times for 164 yards (9.6 average). 


The Ragin' Cajuns' senior quarterback, Ben Wooldridge, is a two-way threat. He has a rating of 163.5 and has thrown for 1,785 yards on 142 of 204 passes (69.6%) for 15 touchdowns with only four interceptions. In addition, he has rushed 47 times for five touchdowns and 124 yards (2.6 average). He completed 27 of 36 passes (75%) for 373 yards and three touchdowns in the victory over Coastal Carolina. It was his second passing effort of the season with 300 or more yards. Additionally, on August 31, he threw for 308 yards and three touchdowns in a 40-10 victory over Grambling.


Bill Davis, a redshirt freshman, is leading the ground attack. With two runs of 100 yards or more, he has carried 80 times for 509 yards (6.4 average) and three touchdowns. He grabbed six catches for 52 yards and a touchdown and rushed 19 times for 110 yards in the victory over Coastal Carolina. On September 21, he had nine carries for 103 yards in a 41-33 defeat against Tulane. On September 7, he ran for 80 yards and two touchdowns on 11 runs during a 34-10 victory over Kennesaw State.
