#22 LSU Tigers vs Florida Gators What to Watch:

On Saturday afternoon, the No. 22 LSU Tigers (6-3) will take on the Florida Gators (4-5) in an attempt to end their two-game losing streak. Before that two-game slump, LSU was very much in the running for the College Football Playoffs, but after losing 42–13 to then-No. 11 Alabama last week, it is probably out of the running. Nonetheless, the Tigers are still mathematically in the running for a position in the SEC Championship Game. Florida has lost three of its last four games, including its most recent defeat against then-No. 5 Texas, 49–17. With three games left, the Gators must defeat No. 11 Ole Miss and Florida State to earn bowl eligibility, which is two victories away.

Ben Hill Griffin Stadium will host kickoff on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET. According to the most recent Florida vs. LSU odds, LSU is favored by 4.5 points.

Although the Gators had to start their third-string quarterback, Florida is coming off a poor performance against Texas last week. Aidan Warner, a rookie, only completed 12 of 25 passes for 132 yards and two interceptions in his first start of the season. DJ Lagway does not have a designation on the availability report, thus it is anticipated that he will recover from a hamstring issue this week.

Before losing last week, the Gators had won three of their last five games, putting them on a strong run.

They covered the spread in both of those defeats, which came against then-No. 2 Georgia and then-No. 8 Tennessee. Compared to LSU, which has only covered three times in its last ten games, Florida has now covered five of its last six games.

LSU will be anticipating this decline in competition after suffering crushing defeats to then-No. 11 Alabama and then-No. 14 Texas A&M. In the past, the Tigers had won six in a row, four of them victories by a margin of 17 points or more. Under the leadership of junior quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, they have one of the best passing offenses in college football.

Three LSU wide receivers have surpassed the 400-yard receiving milestone this season, and he has 2,866 throwing yards and 21 touchdowns. At an average of almost six yards per carry, rookie running back Caden Durham leads the rushing assault with 460 yards and six touchdowns. In their five consecutive victories over the Gators, the Tigers have covered the spread four times.
