#25 Memphis Tigers vs West Virginia Mountaineers What to Watch:

The Memphis Tigers, ranked No. 25, will play the West Virginia Mountaineers in the 2024 Frisco Bowl on Tuesday. Under Ryan Silverfield, Memphis hit the 10-win mark for the second consecutive season and will be aiming for their third consecutive bowl victory. WVU, meanwhile, is coming off a 6-6 season and recently hired former Mountaineers great Rich Rodriguez as head coach, replacing Neal Brown. As a result, the program will be somewhat in transition. The most noticeable absence from this game is perhaps Josiah Trotter, a linebacker for West Virginia (portal, committed to Missouri).

Tuesday's game will kick off at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, at 9 p.m. ET. According to the most recent Memphis vs. West Virginia odds, the Tigers are favored by five points.

Chad Scott will be the stand-in until Rodriguez takes over after Brown, who led Morgantown for six seasons, was dismissed of his responsibilities after the regular season. You may anticipate that Scott will continue to rely largely on Brown's three-headed rushing attack.

This season, CJ Donaldson, Jahiem White, and quarterback Garrett Greene all ran for at least 600 yards and five touchdowns. Expected to suit up on Tuesday night, all three players are still part of the program.

This season, the West Virginia Mountaineers had a 4-1 record when they ran for 200 yards or more.
