Michigan Wolverines vs #2 Ohio State Buckeyes What to Watch:

Saturday's matchup between the Michigan Wolverines (6-5, 4-4) and the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes (10-1, 7-1) is expected to resume one of college football's most acrimonious rivalries, dubbed "The Game." Ohio State, who defeated Indiana 38–15 last weekend, comes into this game on a five-game winning run. Ohio The Buckeyes will face the Ducks again in the Big Ten Championship Game if Ohio State defeats Michigan. The Buckeyes' only loss of the season occurred away from home against No. 1 Oregon. Michigan, which is currently rebuilding, will try to defeat Ohio State for the fourth time in a row. The Wolverines recently defeated Northwestern by a landslide score of 50–6.

This season, the Wolverines are 4-7 against the spread and the Buckeyes are 6-5.

Ohio Stadium in Columbus will kick off at 12:00 ET. According to SportsLine's most recent Michigan vs. Ohio State odds, the Buckeyes are favored by 19.5 points, with an over/under of 41.5 points.

Against Michigan, Ohio State will be seeking retribution and hoping to end a three-game losing streak. The Buckeyes, who have a deeper and more talented team than their rivals, will be motivated because the Wolverines have won two of their last three games by a landslide. Ohio State is 3-1 against the spread in its previous four games and has homefield advantage in this one.

Both tight end Colston Loveland and standout cornerback Will Johnson have been ruled out by Michigan.

On both sides of the ball, the Buckeyes have players who will be selected in the NFL Draft. With 2,684 passing yards, 26 touchdown passes, six interceptions, and seven running touchdowns going into Saturday, transfer quarterback Will Howard has been a reliable player in his first season with the team. On defense, the Buckeyes are excellent up front, and Caleb Downs is likely the finest safety in the nation at the back end.

You can throw out the teams' records in this kind of rivalry matchup and anticipate a slugfest. In recent years, the Wolverines have dominated this rivalry, winning three in a row, including their most recent meeting at Ohio Stadium in 2022, which ended in a 45-23 thumping victory. In its last four games, Michigan is 3-1 against the spread.

The Wolverines still have Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant, probably the best defensive tackle duo in the nation, despite losing several important players to injury. When facing an Ohio State offensive line that will once more be missing center Seth McLaughlin, the two could cause chaos.
