#21 Missouri Tigers vs #15 Alabama Crimson Tide What to Watch:
In a crucial SEC matchup, the No. 15 Alabama Crimson Tide (5-2, 2-2) will face the No. 21 Missouri Tigers (6-1, 2-1) on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. After suffering a crushing 24–17 defeat to Tennessee in last week's "Third Saturday in October" rivalry game, the Tide are hoping to recover. Missouri, who defeated Auburn 21–17 last week, will be trying to win three in a row. The Tigers have upgraded quarterback Brady Cook's (ankle) status from doubtful earlier in the week to questionable. Linebacker Cayden Jones and safety Keon Sabb have been ruled out by Alabama.
In Tuscaloosa, kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET. With Cook's availability uncertain, this line has fluctuated throughout the week. According to the most recent Alabama vs. Missouri odds, the Crimson Tide are now ahead by 15.5 points.
Since Missouri entered the SEC, Alabama has controlled this series. Four of the Tide's previous five victories over Mizzou have occurred during the Tigers' SEC tenure. Since 2012, Alabama has won four times in a landslide.
With quarterback Jalen Milroe and wide receiver Ryan Williams, the Tide boast one of the nation's most potent offensive tandems.
A contender for the Heisman Trophy, Milroe has ran for 330 yards and 11 touchdowns and passed for 1,722 yards, 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions. As a rookie, Williams, 17, has caught 31 passes for 649 yards and seven touchdowns.
One of college football's top defensive teams is Missouri. The Tigers are ranked 10th in the nation in terms of points allowed per game (15.6) and ninth in terms of total yards allowed per game (273) and passing yards allowed per game (157.6) going into this game. Missouri's defense is strengthened by Alabama's heavy reliance on its passing attack.
Jahkai Lang, a freshman, leads the team in sacks (3.0) and leads one of the greatest pass rushes in the SEC. Cook's health is a concern for the Tigers, but backup Drew Pyne has experience. Luther Burden III (37 catches, 447 yards, 4 touchdowns) and Theo Wease Jr. (35 catches, 463 yards, 1 touchdown) are two elite wide receivers for Mizzou who can support either quarterback.
