Navy Midshipmen vs Air Force Falcons What to Watch:

Air Force is currently 1-3 going into its matchup with Navy (4-0) on Saturday afternoon on CBS and Paramount+, despite having won 29 games between 2021 and 2023. Since the start of the season, the Falcons have dropped their last three games, including back-to-back road losses to Baylor and Wyoming. In all four of its games, including last week's 41-18 victory at UAB, Navy has scored at least 38 points. The Midshipmen have lost four of their last matches with the Falcons, including five of their last away games. In games between service academies during the last ten years, the Under has hit 89% of the time (25-3-2).

After two road games against tough opponents, Air Force will be glad to get home. The Falcons defeated Merrimack 21–6 to start the season, their first home game since early September. Their offense just put on a strong show against Wyoming, rushing for 207 yards and two touchdowns on 46 carries.

After missing the previous two games, senior wide receiver Cade Harris had a strong day, hauling in five passes for 106 yards. In recent seasons, the Falcons have dominated this head-to-head matchup, defeating Navy at home five times in a row. In addition, they have won seven of the previous ten meetings.

Air Force has failed to cover in all four of its games this season, while Navy has covered the spread in three of its first four victories. These two teams have been heading in opposite directions to start the season. In their 41-18 victory against UAB last week, the Midshipmen were just 4.5 points ahead thanks to junior quarterback Blake Horvath, who completed 9 of 11 throws for 225 yards and two touchdowns. With 450 rushing yards, 15 total touchdowns, and 637 throwing yards, he leads the Navy's most prolific offense in years.

While Air Force is only scoring 10.3 points per game, the Midshipmen are scoring an incredible 47.7 points on average. With five of their top seven rushers leaving following the previous season, the Falcons had to install a new offensive line and offensive backfield with all five of their starters. They will struggle to stay up with Navy's high-scoring offense on Saturday because of their inexperience, which has been a big problem for them so far this season.
