Nebraska Cornhuskers vs Iowa Hawkeyes What to Watch:
On Friday night, the Nebraska Cornhuskers (6-5) will take on the Iowa Hawkeyes (7-4) in an attempt to win their first road game since September. Last week, Nebraska defeated Wisconsin 44-25 to end a four-game losing streak and secure bowl eligibility. Iowa has won three of its last four games, including its most recent victory at Maryland, 29–13. When these Big Ten rivals faced off last year, the Hawkeyes won 13–10 on the road.
At Kinnick Stadium, kickoff is scheduled for Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET. According to the most recent Iowa vs. Nebraska odds, Iowa is favored by 4 points.
The Hawkeyes are 8-1 in their previous nine meetings with Nebraska and have covered the spread in four of their last six games.
Despite finishing as a mere 1.5-point favorite, Nebraska's 44-25 victory over Wisconsin last week allowed them to get back on track and earn their first bowl spot since 2016. Dylan Raiola, a rookie quarterback, connected with freshman wide receiver Jacory Barney Jr. nine times for 85 yards and completed 28 of 38 throws for 293 yards and a touchdown. Dante Dowdell, a sophomore running back, was effective, converting 10 carries into 41 yards and three scores.
Emmett Johnson, a sophomore running back, averaged 7.1 yards per carry while accumulating 113 rushing yards. Before last week, Raiola had thrown an interception in five consecutive games, so it will be crucial for Nebraska to have another clean game. In four of the previous six games between these teams, the Cornhuskers have covered the spread.
