Oklahoma State Cowboys vs #13 BYU Cougars What to Watch:

In a crucial conference game on Friday night, the Oklahoma State Cowboys will try to complicate the Big 12 Conference competition against the 13th-ranked BYU Cougars. After a 38-14 loss to West Virginia on October 5, Oklahoma State is coming off a bye week, while BYU just defeated Arizona 41-19, its third victory by a double digit margin this season. The Cowboys (3-3, 0-3 Big 12), who have lost three straight games, are 1-1 away from home this season. With their greatest start since going 9-0 in 2020, the Cougars (6-0, 3-0 Big 12) are vying for their first conference championship since taking home the Mountain West in 2007.

At 10:15 p.m. ET, LaVell Edwards Stadium will kick off. In the most recent Oklahoma State vs. BYU odds, the Cougars are now favored by 9.5 points after opening at -6.5.

One of the Cougars' best pass catchers is senior wide receiver Darius Lassiter. He has three touchdowns and 321 yards (15.3 average) from 21 receptions. In Saturday's 41-19 victory over Arizona, Lassiter had five catches for 86 yards (17.2 average), including a long of 38 yards. On September 28, he caught eight passes for 120 yards (15 average) and one touchdown in a 34-28 victory over Baylor.

Jack Kelly, a redshirt junior linebacker, has excelled on defense. He has had a team-high three sacks, 21 tackles—11 of which were solo—and five tackles for loss in just six games this season. In addition, he has broken up one pass, seven quarterback hits, and one forced fumble. The Weber State transfer has participated in 34 games with 105 tackles, including 61 solo, 19.5 sacks, 6 forced fumbles, 8 pass breakups, 1 interception, and 25 tackles for loss.

The Cowboys are allegedly looking to make a change, possibly giving sophomore Garret Rangel a shot in this one. Redshirt senior quarterback Alan Bowman, in his second year with the club, has been under center for the majority of the season.

Both Brennan Presley, a senior, and De'Zhaun Stribling, a junior, have four touchdown receptions this season for the Cowboys. Stribling's team-high 556 yards (19.2 average) from 29 catches includes a long of 77 yards. With a long of 36 yards, Presley leads the team with 36 receptions for 337 yards (9.4 average). Presley is in his fifth season at Oklahoma State, and Stribling is in his second season with the Cowboys after playing for Washington State for two seasons.

Trey Rucker, a senior safety, assists in leading the Cowboys defense. He has two interceptions and a team-high 69 tackles, 40 of which were solo. After two seasons at Wake Forest, the sixth-year veteran is currently in his fourth season with the program.

He has three pass breakups, one forced fumble, six interceptions, and 266 career tackles, including 165 solo. On September 7, Rucker recorded a season-high 17 tackles, 11 of which were solo, in a 39-31 victory over Arkansas in double overtime.
