Oklahoma State Cowboys vs #25 Colorado Buffaloes What to Watch:

In a crucial Big 12 game on Friday, the No. 25 Colorado Buffaloes will try to end the regular season on a high note against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Colorado lost 37-21 against Kansas on Saturday, and Oklahoma State just lost 56-48 to Texas Tech. The 16th-ranked Cowboys (3-8, 0-8 Big 12) have dropped eight straight games. The league's top-seeded Buffaloes (8-3, 6-2 Big 12) have won seven of their last nine games. To advance to the Big 12 championship game, Colorado must win and receive assistance from many teams.

Shedeur Sanders, a Heisman Trophy nominee, is the head coach of the Buffaloes. Travis Hunter, a junior wide receiver, has been Sanders' top target. With 82 receptions for 1,036 yards (12.6 average) and 11 touchdowns, he leads the club. He caught eight catches for 125 yards and two touchdowns in the Kansas defeat. In a 34-23 victory over Cincinnati on October 26, he caught nine catches for 153 yards (17 average) and two touchdowns. For the Cowboys, rookie quarterback Maealiuaki Smith has taken over. He completed 26 of 35 passes for 316 yards and two touchdowns in his season debut in the defeat of Texas Tech. Despite being intercepted once, his rating was 163.3. In addition, he ran for 13 yards and one touchdown six times. During his two seasons as a high school starter, he passed for over 4,300 yards and 45 passing touchdowns, recording a 25-2 record.


The Cowboys' junior running back, Ollie Gordon II, is another offensive weapon. He has run 196 times for 13 touchdowns and 870 yards (4.7 average) in 11 games. He carried 15 times and ran for 156 yards (10.4 average) and three touchdowns in the Texas Tech defeat. On November 9, in a 38–13 loss against TCU, he rushed 25 times for 121 yards (4.8 average) and one touchdown.
