Oklahoma Sooners vs #18 Ole Miss Rebels What to Watch:

After taking a week off, the No. 18 Ole Miss Rebels (5-2) will play the Oklahoma Sooners (4-3) in an SEC matchup in an attempt to get back on track. Ole Miss has dropped two of its last three games, including an overtime defeat at then-No. 13 LSU two weeks ago, endangering its chances of making the College Football Playoffs. After crushing defeats to then-No. 1 Texas and South Carolina, Oklahoma is currently on a two-game losing streak. The Sooners' victory over Auburn at the end of September was their lone real road game this season.

At Hollingsworth Field's Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, kickoff is scheduled for Saturday at 12:00 ET. According to the most recent Ole Miss vs. Oklahoma odds, Ole Miss is ahead by 20 points.

Since Ole Miss is still in the running for a College Football Playoff berth and cannot afford to lose, they will be encouraged to play well on Saturday. The Rebels have an opportunity to boost their resume as they play four unranked opponents and a home game against No. 2 Georgia in the final stretch. Their offense, which averages 560.7 yards and 41.4 points per game, is among the most explosive in the nation.

With over 260 passing yards in every game this season, senior quarterback Jaxson Dart has completed 70.2% of his passes for 2,384 yards and 14 touchdowns. At an average of 5.8 yards per carry, senior running back Henry Parrish Jr. leads the rushing offense with 612 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Gamecocks finished with 22 points off four Oklahoma turnovers, and Ole Miss, which is 10-1 in its last 11 home games and has covered the spread in six of its last eight games, couldn't overcome two defensive touchdowns scored by South Carolina last week. The Sooners benched freshman quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. in the first quarter, returning to the field with sophomore Jackson Arnold, who last week caught six passes for 86 yards and threw for 225 yards and a touchdown.

With eight touchdowns and 763 throwing yards thus far this season, Arnold's stats are far superior to Hawkins'. Jovantae Barnes, a junior running back, amassed 70 yards against South Carolina and now leads the rushing offense with 307 yards and two touchdowns. Ole Miss is not playing well, and Oklahoma has won four of its previous six away games.
