#12 Ole Miss Rebels vs South Carolina Gamecocks What to Watch:

On Saturday afternoon, the No. 12 Ole Miss Rebels (4-1) will take on the South Carolina Gamecocks (3-1) on the road for their first SEC game of the season. Ole Miss, a 17.5-point favorite, lost to Kentucky 20–17 and is looking to recover. After defeating Akron in a 50-7 final two weeks ago, South Carolina is coming off a bye week. This is the first time these teams have faced each other since Ole Miss defeated them 59-42 in 2020.

At Williams-Brice Stadium, kickoff is scheduled for Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET. According to the most recent South Carolina vs. Ole Miss odds, Ole Miss is favored by 8 points, and the over/under is 53.5 points.

South Carolina is wrapping up a three-game homestand that started with a 36-33 loss to then-No. 16 LSU and continued with a 50-7 win over Akron. The Gamecocks have already pulled off one upset in SEC play, taking down Kentucky in a 31-6 final as 9.5-point underdogs at the beginning of September. Auburn transfer Robby Ashford has stepped in for an injured LaNorris Sellers, who could return this week.

Ashford has thrown for 292 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 170 yards and a score. Ole Miss just lost to Kentucky in a surprise upset, allowing 336 yards in a dreadful showing.

The Gamecocks are 11-4 in their last 15 home games and have covered the spread in five straight conference games.

After losing last week, Ole Miss will play its best football because it cannot afford to lose badly again if it is to be in the running for the College Football Playoffs. Senior quarterback Jaxson Dart has led the Rebels with 1,815 yards and 13 touchdowns on 77.4% of his passes. In addition, he has ran for three more touchdowns and 112 yards.

With an average of 97.8 yards per game, senior running back Henry Parrish Jr. leads the Ole Miss rushing assault with 489 yards and eight touchdowns.

South Carolina has a shaky quarterback situation, which does not bode well for this matchup. The Rebels have covered the spread in five of their last six games.
