#2 Oregon Ducks vs Purdue Boilermakers What to Watch:

When the No. 2 Oregon Ducks (6-0, 3-0) visit the Purdue Boilermakers (1-5, 0-3) on Friday, teams at opposite ends of the Big Ten standings square off. Oregon remained undefeated after defeating its most formidable opponent to date in Week 7, defeating the No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes 32-31 to remain undefeated on the season. The Ducks will take on a Purdue team that nearly won its second game of the season in Week 7 but lost 50-49 to No. 22 Illinois in overtime. Kickoff from Ross-Ade Stadium is set for 8 p.m. ET.

The Boilermakers will attempt to exploit an Oregon team that is recovering off a highly charged Big Ten game and is taking a brief break. Less than a week after defeating the Buckeyes by a single point, the Ducks will be traveling across at least two time zones, where they are 4-9 ATS and 3-10 straight up this season.

Despite losing in overtime, Purdue is also coming off one of its best games of the season. In Week 7, the Boilermakers overcame a 12-point deficit against the Fighting Illini in the last quarter and led by three points with less than a minute remaining.

In lieu of injured quarterback Hudson Card, redshirt freshman Ryan Browne made an impact, rushing for a team-high 118 yards and throwing for 297 yards and three touchdowns.

It should be simpler for the Oregon defense to contain the Purdue attack than it was to contain the Buckeyes in Week 7. Purdue's offense is 14th in the Big Ten in terms of average yards per game (340) and points per game (23.7), while Oregon's defense ranks seventh with an average of 297.3 yards allowed per game.

Dillon Gabriel, the quarterback for Oregon, is likewise more seasoned. The senior and Heisman Trophy candidate has twice surpassed 300 passing yards and delivered at least two touchdowns in each of the Ducks' six victories this season. In Week 8, he will face the conference's lowest-ranked defense after throwing for 341 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions against the top-ranked defense in Week 7.
