#4 Penn State Nittany Lions vs Minnesota Golden Gophers What to Watch:

In Week 13 of college football, the No. 4 Penn State Nittany Lions (9-1, 6-1) will travel to the Minnesota Golden Gophers (6-4, 4-3) on Saturday, continuing Big Ten action on CBS and Paramount+. With a 49-10 victory over Purdue last week, Penn State maintained its stellar season. The Nittany Lions need to keep winning to maintain their position in the College Football Playoffs. After losing at Rutgers on November 9, Minnesota is looking to bounce back from their bye week and start winning at home.

Neither team has anyone on the injury report for Week 13, and this is the first time these teams have faced each other since 2022, when Penn State easily won 45–17 at home.

The game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. According to the most recent Minnesota vs. Penn State odds, the Nittany Lions are 11.5-point favorites.

Given that they have two weeks to prepare for this battle and play a fairly similar style to the Nittany Lions, the Golden Gophers have a good chance of keeping Saturday's game tight. The Gophers are only giving up 296.4 total yards per game, and Minnesota's defense is among the most formidable Penn State has encountered in conference play outside of Ohio State.

With a 10-6 series record and four victories over the Gophers in Minneapolis, the Nittany Lions already have a psychological edge going into Week 13. Additionally, three of their past four games this season—all of which have been against in-conference opponents—have seen them cover the spread.

The focus will be on Allar to maintain accuracy against a very strong Minnesota passing defense, as he has only completed fewer than 65% of his throws twice this season. The Nittany Lions will mostly rely on Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton to move the ball down the field because the Gophers' running defense is ranked second to last in the Big Ten.
