In the 2024 Big Ten Championship Game on Saturday, the No. 1 Oregon Ducks (12-0, 9-0) will play the No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions (11-1, 8-1) in an attempt to finish a flawless regular season. The Ducks will most certainly secure the top overall seed in the 2024 College Football Playoff bracket with a victory on Saturday. Oregon just defeated Washington 49–21 in their most recent matchup. Even though a victory would grant them the coveted bye, Penn State has probably already done enough to secure a berth in the CFP field regardless of the result of Saturday's game.

On defense, PSU is ranked third in the conference in terms of total yards allowed per game (266.8) and second in terms of points scored per game (14.0).
In his second full season as the team's quarterback, former five-star prospect Drew Allar has emerged as one of the Big Ten's best quarterbacks. Allar has 2,668 yards, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions going into this game. In addition, he has ran for five touchdowns and 225 yards. Tyler Warren, a tight end, is another weapon for the Nittany Lions. With 81 receptions for 978 yards and six touchdowns in 2024, the 6-foot-6 senior is a problem for opposing defenses.
