Rutgers Scarlet Knights vs USC Trojans What to Watch:

In Big Ten play on Friday night, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (4-3, 1-3) and the USC Trojans (3-4, 1-4) will each try to snap three-game losing streaks. In three consecutive games, Lincoln Riley's squad has wasted fourth-quarter leads; most recently, they lost late to Maryland, 29-28. After losing to UCLA 35–32 at home, a Rutgers squad beset by injuries travels across three time zones.

Eleven p.m. ET is the kickoff time from United Airlines Field at the LA Memorial Coliseum. According to the most recent USC vs. Rutgers odds, the Trojans are 14 points ahead.

Star running back Kyle Monangai, who has 154 carries for 845 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, will be a major asset for the Scarlet Knights. In Week 8, Monangai had 19 carries for 106 yards and three touchdowns, including two in the fourth quarter that nearly tied the score against UCLA.

The USC rush defense he will face is giving up 30.7 average attempts per game and 4.5 average yards per attempt. If the Scarlet Knights want to keep things tight on the road, Monangai will have to carry the offense on Friday as Rutgers' receiving corps is exhausted.

Because this game is being played at home, the USC Trojans enjoy a small advantage. This season, USC is 3-0 at home against the spread. Riley's defense will have to settle in late since USC's Achilles heel has been blowing fourth-quarter leads.

With a 65.1 completion percentage, quarterback Miller Moss has a 6-2 TD-INT ratio at home and a 12-6 ratio against conference opponents. Rutgers' defense, which he will face, is allowing an average of 385.3 yards this season. Rutgers has also had trouble traveling, dropping nine of its previous eleven away games. According to SportsLine's algorithm, Moss went over 300 yards throughout the simulation.
