South Carolina Gamecocks vs Clemson Tigers What to Watch:

The 2024 Palmetto Bowl will take place on Saturday between the No. 12 Clemson Tigers (9-2) and the No. 15 South Carolina Gamecocks (8-3). The Tigers defeated Citadel 51-14 last week and have now won three straight games. The Gamecocks, who have won five straight games, are also fired up going into this matchup. Wofford was burned 56–12 by South Carolina on Nov. 23. The all-time series between Clemson and South Carolina is 73-43-4. Although a victory would be crucial for either team's College Football Playoff chances, if Miami loses against Syracuse on Saturday, Clemson may still qualify through the ACC Championship Game regardless of the outcome of this game.

Cade Klubnik, a junior quarterback, is in charge of this Tigers attack. Klubnik has a rapid release as a passer and may be used as a dual threat on the field. Raheim Sanders, a senior running back, is a powerful runner with a blend of strength and agility. With five yards per carry and 11 running touchdowns, Sanders leads the conference in rushing yards (821). In four consecutive games, he has finished with at least 50 rushing yards. Sanders got one touchdown and 72 rushing yards in his most recent game.


Under center, the Gamecocks have an agile playmaker in rookie quarterback LaNorris Sellers. He has 489 rushing yards, 2,110 passing yards, and 22 touchdowns overall this season. In consecutive games, the South Carolina native has thrown for more than 300 yards. He went 23-of-27 for 307 yards and three passing touchdowns in his last game. Sellers also recorded a touchdown on the ground and 53 rushing yards.
