Texas Tech Red Raiders vs Arizona Wildcats What to Watch:

The Arizona Wildcats host the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday night in an attempt to win their second straight Big 12 game. Last Saturday, Texas Tech (4-1) upset Cincinnati at home, 44-41, while Arizona (3-1) downed No. 10 Utah, 23-10, on the road. Although the Red Raiders lead the overall rivalry with a 26-5-2 record, these teams last faced off in 2019, with Arizona winning 28-14 in Tucson.

At 11 p.m. ET, Arizona Stadium will kick off the game. According to the most recent Arizona vs. Texas Tech odds, the Wildcats are 6.5-point favorites.

Tahj Brooks of Texas Tech should unquestionably be mentioned, even though the majority of analysts consider Oklahoma State's Ollie Gordon to be the greatest running back in the Big 12. In the team's narrow victory over Cincinnati last week, Brooks had 32 touches for 172 yards and two touchdowns. Brooks has run for 551 yards and four touchdowns in four games this season, including more than 100 yards rushing in each game.

Texas Tech ranks in the top-16 FBS teams in both categories with an average of 486.4 yards and 41.6 points per game. In his five games as a quarterback for the Red Raiders, Behren Morton has thrown for 1,426 yards and 14 touchdowns.

The Red Raiders have been as good offensively as they have been defensively in 2024, giving up 463 yards and 34.4 points per game, which should be a prime opportunity for Arizona's offense to shine. The Wildcats scored 61 points in their opener against New Mexico, but since then they have only combined for 52 points. Despite their tough defense against Utah last week, the Arizona defense should struggle to slow down one of college football's best offenses on Saturday night.

In the second half, with the game on the line, quarterback Noah Fifita made multiple crucial throws and finished with 197 yards and two touchdowns. While their high school buddy, tight end Keyan Burnett, had five catches, 78 yards, and a touchdown against the Utes, his primary target, Tetairoa McMillan, was only able to haul in six passes for 50 yards in Salt Lake City. In what should be a high-scoring game in Tucson, Fifita and McMillan will probably need to take advantage of the Red Raiders' subpar secondary for huge plays.
