UCF Knights vs Florida Gators What to Watch:

As Florida (2-2) prepares to meet in-state rival UCF (3-1) on Saturday night, the Billy Napier era appears to be hanging in the balance. Even though Napier defeated Mississippi State 45-28 going into last week's bye, he is one of the most popular seats in the nation. After losing to Colorado 48–21 last week, where it allowed 418 total yards, UCF travels to Gainesville. Florida has won both home games and has a 2-1 lead in the series overall.

Ben Hill Griffin Stadium will kick off on Saturday at 7:45 p.m. ET. According to the most recent Florida vs. UCF odds, UCF is favored by 2.5 points, and the over/under is 62 points.

If the coaching staff wants to stay together, Florida appears to have no room for mistake going into this game. Two weeks ago, the Gators easily defeated Mississippi State 45-28, demonstrating their ability to handle the pressure. They had an extra week to get ready for this match, while UCF, who started the game as a double-digit favorite, just suffered a crushing defeat to Colorado.

Graham Mertz, the senior quarterback for the Gators, just finished his best game of the year against Mississippi State, completing 19 of 21 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns.

In that well-rounded performance, Florida also finished with two rushing scores and 26 running yards. UCF is 1-4 in its previous five October games, while the Gators have won five of their last six games as favorites.

The Golden Knights were strong in their first three games of the season, but UCF is coming off a poor performance against Colorado. They defeated TCU as 2.5-point road underdogs after covering the spread in victories over Sam Houston and New Hampshire. KJ Jefferson, a transfer quarterback from Arkansas, finished the game with 46 rushing yards, 230 passing yards, and three passing touchdowns.

This season, Jefferson has 211 rushing yards, 847 passing yards, and nine touchdowns. With over 125 rushing yards in three of his first four games, senior running back RJ Harvey balances the offense. The Gators have only covered the spread once in their previous five games and are currently dealing with the controversy surrounding the stability of their coach's job, thus Florida is a team to fade.
