UConn Huskies vs North Carolina Tar Heels What to Watch:

The North Carolina Tar Heels will try to end their 2024 season on a positive note when they play the UConn Huskies in the 2024 Fenway Bowl on Saturday, before the Bill Belichick era begins. UConn last prevailed in a bowl game in 2010, and UNC is seeking its first victory since 2019. After playing an independent schedule this season, the Huskies (8-4) lost to Marshall 28-14 in the Myrtle Beach Bowl in 2022, their only bowl game appearance. The Tar Heels (6-6) are 15-23 overall in bowl games, including a 30-10 loss to West Virginia in the Duke's Mayo Bowl last year. They are tied for 10th place in the Atlantic Coast Conference at 3-5.

UConn will be missing at least seven players, including six in the transfer portal, while the North Carolina Tar Heels will be without their star running back Omarion Hampton and almost a dozen additional teammates because of injuries, the transfer portal, or NFL opt-outs.

The game will kick off at 11 a.m. ET from Boston's Fenway Park. According to the most recent North Carolina vs. UConn odds, the Tar Heels are presently 2.5 points ahead after beginning at -4.5.

Leading the Tar Heel offense is senior quarterback Jacolby Criswell. With six interceptions and a rating of 134.3, he has completed 185 of 319 passes (58%) for 2,452 yards and 15 touchdowns in 11 games.

In addition, he has hurried for three goals. On September 21, he completed 28 of 48 passes for 475 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions in a 70-50 loss to James Madison.

J.J. Jones is a senior wide receiver and one of his primary targets. 34 throws for 570 yards (16.8 average) and six touchdowns have been caught by him. On October 26, he caught five catches for 129 yards (25.8 average) and two touchdowns in a 41-14 victory over Virginia. In a 21-20 loss at Duke on September 28, he caught five catches for 89 yards (17.8 average) and one touchdown.

Joe Fagnano, the senior quarterback, is driving the offense. With four interceptions and a 152.8 rating, he has completed 104 of 183 passes (56.8%) for 1,480 yards and 18 touchdowns this season.

Skyler Bell, a redshirt junior wide receiver, is one of the Huskies' most potent offensive weapons. He hauled in 47 catches for 783 yards (16.7 average) and four touchdowns in 12 games. On September 28, he caught six catches for 153 yards (25.5 average) and three touchdowns in a 47-3 victory over Buffalo.
