USC Trojans vs Texas A&M Aggies What to Watch:

On Friday, December 27, the USC Trojans and Texas A&M Aggies will play in the 2024 Las Vegas Bowl. After winning consecutive games, USC enters at 6-6 and most recently lost to Notre Dame, 49-35, on Nov. 30. With an 8-4 record going into the game, Texas A&M most recently suffered a 17-7 loss to Texas on November 30. Despite being in the running for the College Football Playoffs going into their regular-season finale, the Aggies have dropped three of their previous four games.

The game will kick off at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Friday at 10:30 p.m. ET. According to the most recent Texas A&M vs. USC odds, Texas A&M is favored by 3.5 points.

Along with starting running back Jo'quavious Marks (NFL Draft) and two of its top three leading receivers—including Zachariah Branch, the nation's top wide receiver in the Class of 2023, according to 247Sports—USC quarterback Miller Moss, who started the majority of the season, is out after transferring to Louisville.

After switching to sophomore quarterback Jayden Maiava, the Trojans ended the regular season with a 2-1 record. Over his three starts, the UNLV transfer averaged 280 passing yards and 10 touchdowns (seven passing) while committing three interceptions. In the last week of the regular season, he scored five touchdowns overall against Notre Dame.

USC scored 35 points against Notre Dame, the highest the Fighting Irish had given up this season. Maiava ran for 11 yards and two touchdowns and completed 27 of 49 passes (55.1%) for 360 yards and three touchdowns.

The Trojans will have Makai Lemon, their top wide receiver from this season, even though USC will be without two of its top three receivers. Playing with Maiava, the sophomore led the Trojans in receiving yards (665), including nine grabs for 133 yards versus Notre Dame. Cyrus Allen (portal), the starting receiver, and three defensive line opt-outs Shemar Stewart, Nic Scourton, and Shemar Turner are among the Aggies' casualties for this game.
