Wake Forest Demon Deacons vs #8 Miami Hurricanes What to Watch:

In their ACC matchup against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Saturday, the No. 8 Miami Hurricanes will try to secure a much-needed victory. The Hurricanes are in control of their fate to qualify for the College Football Playoffs, even if they lost to Georgia Tech last week. The Hurricanes will participate in the ACC championship game if Miami wins its remaining games. Wake Forest, on the other hand, has dropped two straight games going into Saturday's game, most recently losing 31–24 at North Carolina.

At 12:00 ET, Hard Rock Stadium in Miami will go off. The most recent Wake Forest vs. Miami odds see the Hurricanes as 23.5-point favorites.

The Hurricanes have the most explosive attack in NCAA football, and they have won five of their previous five home games. Miami leads the country in scoring, averaging 45.0 points per game. Cam Ward, the quarterback for the Hurricanes, has passed for 3,494 yards, 32 touchdowns, and six interceptions so far this season. In the Yellow Jackets' defeat last week, Ward had a strong game, throwing for 349 yards and three touchdowns. With +1100 odds, he is the third favorite going into this clash in the Heisman Trophy.

This season, wide receiver Xavier Restrepo has been Ward's top target. 55 receptions for 934 yards and 10 touchdowns have been hauled in by the senior wide receiver. In his most recent home game, he amassed 140 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and he has scored four touchdowns in his last two games.

The second half of Wake Forest's defeat at North Carolina last week featured a strong offensive performance. Running back Demond Claiborne had a great game as the Demon Deacons scored 21 of their 24 points in the last two quarters. This season, the junior has amassed 189 carries for 919 yards and 11 rushing touchdowns. He has 236 receiving yards and averages 4.9 yards per run.

In a challenging road setting, Wake Forest will attempt to rely on Claiborne to manage the game's tempo. In 2024, the Hurricanes are allowing 112.8 running yards per contest. Wake Forest will want to get the ground game going early and frequently on Saturday after Miami gave up 271 yards to Georgia Tech last week.
