Washington Huskies vs #13 Indiana Hoosiers What to Watch:

As the No. 13 Indiana Hoosiers (7-0) prepare to meet the Washington Huskies (4-3) in Week 9, head coach Curt Cignetti's team is gaining more and more attention. With a 56-7 victory over Nebraska last week, Indiana maintained its undefeated start to the season and achieved its biggest conference victory margin since 1945. Since 1967, when they won their first eight games, the Hoosiers have not gone 7-0 until now. Washington defeated then-No. 10 Michigan early in the month, but its next game ended in a loss to Iowa.

Memorial Stadium will kick off on Saturday at 12:00 ET. According to the most recent Indiana vs. Washington odds, Indiana is favored by 6.5 points.

Before the season, Indiana was a complete unknown, yet it has won seven straight games to get to the College Football Playoffs. Kurtis Rourke, the sixth-year quarterback, will not play in this game, though, since he underwent thumb surgery on Monday.

Tayven Jackson, who started five games as a rookie last season, will take his spot. Last week, Jackson completed seven of eight throws for 91 yards and two scores, leading four touchdown drives in the second half. The Hoosiers have covered the spread in six straight games and lead the nation in scoring (48.7 points per game).

Rourke was receiving some Heisman Trophy consideration, so his absence will be very important in determining the result of this game. Jackson is under a lot of pressure to lead an undefeated team, and he has little experience, especially this season. Washington has more time to get ready for this game because it just had a bye.

The Huskies lost to Iowa after defeating Michigan by double digits in a rematch of the College Football Playoff title game from the previous season. Veteran quarterback Will Rogers had only two interceptions, 1,820 yards, and 13 touchdowns on 72.2% of his passes. With 681 yards on 99 runs, Arizona transfer Jonah Coleman leads the rushing attack, providing the Huskies with enough firepower to rival an Indiana offense without Rourke.
