Western Michigan Broncos vs #2 Ohio State Buckeyes What to Watch:

This weekend, Ohio State will host Western Michigan at The Horseshoe in another nonconference home game. After missing out on the College Football Playoffs the previous season, the Buckeyes are hoping to return this year.

Last week, OSU overcame a sluggish start to defeat Akron 52–6 in the season opener. The relationship between rookie quarterback Will Howard and his primary target, Jeremiah Smith, who appeared to be unstoppable, was crucial to the victory. The standout freshman recorded a score and 95 yards of receiving.

Carnell Tate and Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State's other two starting receivers, combined for eight catches, 109 yards, and a touchdown. 

The Buckeyes defense forced three turnovers and limited the Zips' offensive output to only 177 yards.

Western Michigan's season has gotten off to a terrible start. The Broncos traveled to Madison in Week 1 and were humiliated by Wisconsin 28–14. Jalen Buckley was Western Michigan's lone bright spot, running for 64 yards and two touchdowns, but Saturday won't be any easier.
