#12 Boise State Broncos vs Wyoming Cowboys What to Watch:
On Saturday, the Boise State Broncos and the Wyoming Cowboys will play a Mountain West match at War Memorial Stadium's Jonah Field. Boise State is 9-1 overall and 4-1 away from home, while Wyoming is 2-8 overall and 1-4 at home. Wyoming wants to damage Boise State's chances of making the College Football Playoffs after losing to Colorado State 24–10 in the Border War rivalry game. After defeating San Jose State 42–21 in their most recent game, the Broncos, headed by Heisman Trophy finalist Ashton Jeanty, are on an eight-game winning run. This season, Wyoming is 4-6 against the spread and Boise State is 6-3-1.
CBS Sports Network will kick off in Laramie, Wyoming, at 7 p.m. ET. The most recent Wyoming vs. Boise State odds have Boise State ahead by 22.5 points.
When it comes to securing the Group of Five place in the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff, Boise State is in the driver's seat. The Broncos will be one of the 12 teams in the field if they prevail. The drive to win—and win big for extra style points—will be present.
Ashton Jeanty, a running back for Boise State, is also in the middle of a real Heisman Trophy campaign.
Jeanty, the leading contender to Colorado's Travis Hunter in the Heisman race, may have a great day ahead of him because Wyoming has one of the weakest running defenses in the nation. Jeanty has 1,893 yards and 26 touchdowns on 256 runs going into this game.
Wyoming's offense struggled last Friday, finishing with just 237 total yards in a 24-10 loss to Colorado State, after rising to 49 points the previous game.
The first season of the Cowboys' post-Craig Bohl era has been a letdown. On Saturday night, though, the program has an opportunity to save some pride by surprising the college football community. The advantage for the Cowboys is that they will be playing in front of Memorial Stadium's expected boisterous crowd.
