Oregon State Beavers vs #11 Boise State Broncos What to Watch:

On Friday afternoon, the Oregon State Beavers will visit the No. 11 Boise State Broncos in a non-conference game. If the Broncos can prevail, Boise State, which is currently on a nine-game winning streak, will be the fourth-highest ranked conference champion and will receive the fourth seed in the College Football Playoff bracket. Next week, Boise State (10-1, 7-0 Mountain West) will host its conference title, but a late non-conference defeat might hurt their chances of making the playoffs. After defeating Washington State 41-38 on Saturday, Oregon State (5-6, 1-0 Pac-12) ends a five-game losing run.

With a 41-38 comeback victory over Washington State on Saturday, the Beavers almost equaled their point total from the previous four games. Ben Gulbranson's 4-yard touchdown pass to Darrius Clemons after a PAT tied the score at 38, and Everett Hayes' game-winning 55-yard field goal with 20 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter gave Oregon State the game's final 10 points. Gulbranson led Oregon State's offense with 294 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions, accounting for 484 yards overall. With 83 rushing yards, Anthony Hankerson led a rushing offense that gained 170 yards.

Even though Boise State finished 10-4 and won a bowl game in 2022, Oregon State defeated them 34–17. The Beavers are 36th in college football with an average of 179.2 running yards per game. The Beavers can definitely remain within this wide spread on Friday if Oregon State can manage the time of possession with its running game.

This season, the Broncos have only lost once, against Oregon, the nation's top-ranked team, 37-34. After that defeat, Boise State won four in a row by more than 20 points, and six of its ten wins this season have been by 20 points or more.

As the Broncos put the Ducks through their most difficult test of the season, Boise State led Oregon in the fourth quarter before giving up the game's last 10 points and lost on a 25-yard field goal as time ran out.

Ashton Jeanty, a Heisman Trophy contender, is a true game-changer in the backfield for Boise State. With an average of 187.5 yards per game this season, the junior running back has 2,062 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns. He isn't only gaining yards because of volume; he is averaging 7.5 yards per rush. Jeanty's big-play ability can alter a game every time he touches the ball, and he has ran for more than 125 yards in all 11 games this season, including three 200-yard outings.
