San Diego State Aztecs vs #15 Boise State Broncos What to Watch:

The 15th-ranked Boise State Broncos, led by Heisman Trophy finalist Ashton Jeanty, will play the San Diego State Aztecs on Friday night in an attempt to win their sixth straight game and seize control of the Mountain West Conference. Boise State wants to win the league title for the second time in a row. The Aztecs (3-4, 2-0 Mountain West) have a minus-6.7 point gap this season and have not defeated ranked opponents since 2020. With eight consecutive home victories, the Broncos (6-1, 3-0 Mountain West) have a plus-14.5 point differential this season.

At 8 p.m. ET, kickoff will take place from Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho. San Diego State averages 22.3 points per game, compared to 44.3 points per game for Boise State. According to the most recent San Diego State vs. Boise State odds, the Broncos are ahead by 24.5 points.

With 275 yards per game on the ground, Jeanty's outstanding rushing assault leads the Mountain West. The Broncos have aerial prowess as well. Cameron Camper, a senior wide receiver, leads the Broncos in receptions.

He has 28 receptions for 477 yards (17 average) and four touchdowns in seven games. On October 12, he caught seven passes for 111 yards in a 28-7 victory over Hawaii. On September 21, he had two receptions for 70 yards and two touchdowns in a 56-14 victory over Portland State.

Matt Lauter, a junior tight end, is another prominent offensive target for Boise State. He has caught in each of the seven games, including a 45–24 victory over Washington State on September 28 that featured four catches, 96 yards, and two touchdowns. He recorded four receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown in last Friday's victory over UNLV. He has caught 24 passes for 297 yards (12.4 average) and four touchdowns so far this season.


The Aztecs' passing attack is spearheaded by rookie quarterback Danny O'Neil. He has completed 109 of 174 attempts (62.6%) for 1,240 yards and six touchdowns in six games so far this season. He has a rating of 131.6 and has been intercepted twice. In four games, he has passed for 200 yards or more, including a season-high 254 yards on October 12 in a 27–24 victory over Wyoming, which included one touchdown and one interception.


Marquez Cooper, a fifth-year senior running back, is in charge of the ground assault. After three seasons at Kent State and one at Ball State, he is in his first year with the program. He's rushed 169 times for 748 yards (4.4 average) and eight touchdowns in seven games. He rushed 18 times for 78 yards (4.3 average) and two scores in the defeat against Washington State last week.
