#20 UNLV Rebels vs #10 Boise State Broncos What to Watch:

The No. 10 Boise State Broncos (11-1, 7-0) will face the No. 20 UNLV Rebels (10-2, 6-1) on Friday in the 2024 Mountain West Championship Game, a rematch of the thrilling matchup from the previous season. The Broncos hope to secure a probable bye in the College Football Playoffs with a victory. With a 10-game winning run going into Friday's big game, the Broncos should feel secure as they won the conference for the third consecutive year in 2023 after defeating the Rebels 44-20. It won't be simple, though, as the UNLV team finished the season with a perfect 6-0 away record and a four-game winning run.

Boise State's season might be over if UNLV wins and puts the Rebels on the field. UNLV is +25,000 to win the national championship, while Boise State is +12,000.

At Albertsons Stadium, kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET. According to the most recent Boise State vs. UNLV odds, the Broncos are 4.5-point favorites.

UNLV finished the season 4-2-0 ATS on the road and 7-5-0 ATS overall. In October, the Rebels lost to the Broncos in Las Vegas by a slim margin of 24-23 in the third quarter before Boise State came back to win 29-24. With four victories since then, three of which were by double-digit margins, Hajj-Malik Williams and company will be even more ready for the rematch on the "Smurf Turf" on Friday.

Williams recorded 179 throwing yards and ran for an additional 100 in the most recent game against Boise State, while being sacked six times. The Rebels will rely on him to upset the advancing Broncos since he has thrown for at least one touchdown in each of his starts this season while adding ten or more carries on the ground.

Ashton Jeanty, a Heisman Trophy candidate, will be the center of attention, but quarterback Maddux Madsen will also play a key role in Boise State's victory.

While Madsen took advantage of a weak passing defense to throw for 209 yards and add one score on the run and one in the air, the Rebels' rushing defense held Jeanty to 3.9 yards per carry, his lowest total of the season.

Despite being favored by 14 points or more in each of their last five regular-season games, the Broncos have only covered the spread twice. They were the 4-point favorite against UNLV in their most recent meeting, and they have covered the spread every time this season when they were favored by less than 10 points.
