Iowa Hawkeyes vs #3 Ohio State Buckeyes What to Watch:

In their Big Ten matchup with the Iowa Hawkeyes on CBS and Paramount+, the No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes will try to maintain their perfect record. The Buckeyes are fourth in the country with an average of 48.8 points per game going into Saturday's matchup. Iowa has played strong defense, allowing only 13.75 points per game, enough for 15th place in college football.

At 3:30 p.m. ET, Ohio Stadium will kick underway. In the most recent Ohio State vs. Iowa odds, the Buckeyes are currently 17.5-point favorites after beginning at -18.5.

The Buckeyes have the top scoring defense in college football going into their matchup on Saturday. This season, Ohio State is allowing the fewest points in the country—just 6.8 points per game. In their victory over Michigan State last week, the Buckeyes forced three turnovers and allowed only 47 rushing yards. Third in the country, Ohio State's defensive front is allowing 61.8 rushing yards per game.

The Buckeyes have a wealth of playmakers on offense. This season, Will Howard, the quarterback, has completed 68.6% of his throws for 1,039 yards and eight touchdowns. In 2024, he has also scored three running touchdowns.

Wide receiver Jeremiah Smith has pulled in 19 grabs for 364 yards and five touchdowns, and running back TreVeyon Henderson is averaging an incredible 8.9 yards per carry.

Following a 20-19 loss against Iowa State early in the season, the Hawkeyes have rediscovered some offensive rhythm. With a strong rushing offense, Iowa has scored 31 points or more in each of its last two games. Running back Kaleb Johnson had 21 touches for 206 yards and three touchdowns in last week's victory over Minnesota.

Johnson has amassed 685 running yards and nine rushing touchdowns this season. This season, he has scored two or more rushing touchdowns in every game, and Iowa's offensive strategy will probably primarily rely on him on Saturday.
