Texas wants to win the conference championship game in order to bring one final piece of the Big 12 with it when it moves to the SEC in a few months. Texas needs to win the 2023 Big 12 Championship Game in order to qualify for the College Football Playoffs, but the Cowboys have other motivational factors. They want to win for all of the programs that will still be in the Big 12 with the impending reorganization, in addition to winning their first Big 12 Title Game.
Under quarterback Quinn Ewers, Texas boasts one of the most comprehensive offenses in the Big 12. After losing star rusher Jonathan Brooks late in the season, the Texas backfield also stepped up to fill the void. That offense ought to take advantage of Oklahoma State's struggling defense.
