#16 Oregon State Beavers vs #6 Oregon Ducks What to Watch:

The ninth For the second consecutive week, Oregon defeated their opponent by a slim margin. Its focus now turns to eliminating a well-known enemy.

This year's in-state rivalry between the Beavers (2-0) and Ducks (2-0) appears to be a little different. While Oregon State and Washington State were the final two teams in the Pac-12 conference, Oregon started a new road in the Big Ten.

The Ducks have had a very disappointing start to the Big Ten era. In the final seconds of their game against Boise State University last Saturday, it came down to a game-winning field goal. The thrilling triumph came after a 24–14 victory over the University of Idaho in Week 1 (37–34).

The offensive line's difficulties have characterized Oregon's season. Dillon Gabriel, a transfer quarterback, completed 84.3 percent of the passes for 623 yards and four touchdowns. On paper, the Ducks seem to be doing nearly everything well, with the exception of keeping their quarterback safe.

The offensive line only gave up five sacks in the two seasons that Bo Nix started at quarterback. Oregon has allowed seven sacks in the first two games of the season, which is almost the same as the total number of sacks given up in the previous two seasons combined. Although the sacks have only allowed six visits to the red zone, the Ducks score on a high percentage of their red-zone opportunities.

In the offseason, the Beavers had a significant roster shuffle. Many of its top players from its Pac-12 fourth-place 2023 squad left as the program came to an end on the wrong side of league restructuring.

Now for Gevani McCoy. After three seasons with the Idaho Vandals, the new starting quarterback for Oregon State transferred to Corvallis.

The offensive scheme that the Oregon defense saw last weekend against the Broncos will be similar this time. As a quarterback, McCoy rarely throws the ball into the air. Despite sweeping victories over San Diego State University and Idaho State University, he only has two touchdown throws on 295 yards.

Last Saturday's game against the San Diego State Aztecs saw the Beavers rush for 237 yards on 51 carries. In just two games, Jam Griffin and Anthony Hankerson, both transfer running backs, have amassed more than 200 rushing yards. If the game is as hotly contested as the Ducks' opening two games, these are two names to watch.

In the AP Poll, Oregon started the season as the third seed, their highest preseason rating since the Ducks advanced to the National Championship Game in 2014. The Ducks dropped six spots as a result of their narrow victories over Boise State and Idaho.
